A little bit about me...<br /><br />My (then) fiance and I decided we wanted to get married and start our life as husband and wife as I graduated college, and she did her pharmacy rotations at Butler University in Indianapolis. Our planning started three weeks before the big day. As you can guess, it was a fiasco getting catering, flowers, tables, chairs, etc. in just under three weeks.<br /><br />Everything worked out beautifully though. Cathryn's aunt and uncle were generous to let us conduct the ceremony outside of their home in Cleves, Ohio. My brother from Austin showed up as the best man. Cathryn's bridesmaids made it from all over the country: Chicago, Indianapolis, New York City. The weather was gorgeous, too, which I think can be attributed to all the prayers we had. This, my friends, was luxury, and if you ever have the opportunity to go there and have that "swanky hotel experience", do.<br /><br />As for now, my wife's still doing her rotations; I've found a job as an assistant manager at a local deli in the good ol' midwest city of Indianapolis.<br /><br />This blog is just a small side project that I have started since I am, frankly, a lot less busy than I ever was. My senior year at college was spent working 30 hours a week, interning for twenty hours a week, and going to school full time, not to mention planning a move out and wedding within weeks of each other!<br /><br />With that, I leave you with this quote from pastor Charles Swindoll:<br /><br />“Courage is not limited to the battlefield or the Indianapolis 500 or bravely catching a thief in your house. The real tests of courage are much quieter. They are the inner tests, like remaining faithful when nobody's looking, like enduring pain when the room is empty, like standing alone when you're misunderstood.”<br /><br />I like this quote. It strikes a chord witn me. Not to mention the quote's use of our new city.
